Join me on this Slovenian Stadler train, as I check out this new service, and all the surprises on this special service!
Thanks to Slovenske Železnice, the operator of this train, for inviting me along and providing a ticket.

Nice video. Just a remark: Nürnberg is technically part of the state of Bavaria and thus the “region of the Oktoberfest”, but culturally it belongs to Franconia, which has very different dialect, food, traditions etc. 🙂 It’s actually a wine region, not a beer region. Franconians would never call themselves Bavarians.

@@SuperalbsTravels Depends how you look at it. Compared to second class on the old train.. this one is MUCH better.. because it has air con.. it's new.. more comfy seats.. and there will not be allowed smoking 100% inside which many people complained about... what it is missing is sleeping cabins.. i REALLY hope this is just temporary solution until they completely renovate the line Belgrade>Bar. I think that the night train to Bar is still the old one though.

I have watched a number of these videos of yours now and I would really like to see some sort of map referencing the towns mentioned along the way. Nothing elaborate just a line with dots along it with names at the dots would do. Or if you can the map you show at the start with a circle around the place being referenced. Great videos have enjoyed them, which is why I watched more than one I guess. I upload myself and appreciate the extra work my suggestion would require, but I do think it would give a greater understanding of the trip

i live near a train track where german and swiss trains drive on. And i take the swiss train 100% of the time. The swiss ECE 2nd class is more comfortable than a german 1st class. And regional trains in germany are about as unconfortable as it gets. In less than an hour your butt hurts and imagine going for like 3 hours. And they are always late while the swiss train is punctual all the time even when it drives in germany.

I worked for SJ Städ (SJ Cleaning) when I first moved to Sweden in 1988. The replacement of the had shell plastic bins for plastic bags took place during my tenure there. In those days SJ had total control of everything with no outsourcing. To empty the train's 300 bins the cleaners had to bend down to pick it up, then empty it and then bend down again to place it back in the holder. That's 600 bending downs to the train floor for each clean. With the bags you half that and quite often the passengers take the bin bag with them. Another problem with the plastic bins was we had to remove them and scrape out the chewing gum once a month on second class and once a day on first class carriages. Although some countries have bins in the train foyers passengers tend to throw trash on the floor by their seat or wedge it in the pocket in front of them if no personal bins are provided. Therefore the idea of the plastic bag is a good one. If you understood Danish you would know the lettering on the bag tells you it is bio-degradable and environmental friendly. And much more so than the washing up fluid we use to use to clean out the plastic bins in our cleaning hut.

They should called it IR fir InterRegio. With the tracks are full with trains, Deutsche Bahn has to use them. It's the only way to get more passengers on the rail. The other possibility would me more tracks, but there is the lack if funding and people may go to court to avoid those additional tracks close to their homes. You can't have a cake and eat it too.
